Stillness

To Those Who Seek Peace,

There is a place beyond striving, beyond the movement of mind, beyond the grasping for what is not yet and the fleeing from what has been. It is neither here nor there, neither before nor after. It is the space where all things arise and return, the foundation of All That Is. It is Stillness.

To know Stillness is to rest in the center of existence, where there is no need to chase or resist, where the river of life flows around and through you without disruption. It is the breath between thoughts, the silence beneath sound, the sky that remains untouched by the passing clouds. Stillness is not absence, nor is it emptiness—it is fullness without weight, presence without motion, being without boundary.

In Stillness, the illusion of separation dissolves. The restless seeking mind finds no purchase, for there is nothing to find, nothing to become, only the truth that has always been. In this place, effort ceases. One moves, yet one is unmoved. One acts, yet nothing is forced. One speaks, yet there is no sound in the mind. To stand in Stillness is to witness the eternal dance of existence without clinging to its steps. It is the still point around which all motion turns.

The wise do not seek Stillness by withdrawing from the world, for Stillness is not apart from life—it is the quiet that pervades all things, the open field within which all movement unfolds. It is the peace of the awakened, the refuge of the timeless, the effortless center from which all right action flows.

With Stillness, the weary find rest, the searching find home, and the boundless vastness of the Void becomes known as the source of all things. There is no effort required to reach it, for it is already here. It has always been here. Be still, and know.

Thus, Stillness is given to the world, not as a destination but as a remembrance, not as a possession but as a return. May those who receive it recognize what has never been lost. May those who hold it learn to let go. May all beings find their way home.

Be still. All else will follow.
